Our story
CompareMover was started by people who have spent many years working in the removals industry. We have seen what happens on both sides of the van. A customer searches on Google, calls the first company that comes up, and takes whatever price they are given. Often they pay more than they needed to, because they had nothing to compare it with. Meanwhile, good local companies with fair prices and careful crews are hard to find among the adverts.
We wanted to fix that. Not with another long list of companies, but with a simple way to see what a fair price looks like, from companies we have actually looked at.
What we do differently
Instead of one phone call to one company, you tell us about your move once. We then work with up to 5 removal companies that cover your area.
- We check the companies. We look at their reviews and their company details, and we speak with them, so you are not starting from nothing.
- We share your details. Only with up to 5 vetted companies matched to your move, so they know what it involves.
- They quote you directly. Removal companies contact you by email or phone with an accurate quotation based on your move, not a guess.
- You compare and choose. Up to 5 quotes side by side, with no obligation to book any of them.
Why comparing matters
Prices for the same move can vary a lot from company to company. Comparing up to 5 quotes shows you the fair price range for your move, so you can spot a quote that is too high, and one that is suspiciously low. It also shows you who is easy to deal with, which matters on moving day.
